CLubs and Activities at St. Andrew's
Our Sports Program offers competitive
volleyball for both girls and boys in Grades 5, 6 and 7. From September
to November, teams compete in zonal leagues and, upon qualification,
in district-wide playoffs.
From December to March, girls' and
boys' basketball is offered. The Grade 5, 6 and 7 teams compete
in a zonal system similiar to volleyball. Finalists compete in district-wide
playoffs.
April, May and June are Track and
Field months at St. Andrew's School. Students who join the track
program compete in various invitational track meets, as well as
a system-wide track meet held at Swangard Stadium.
Soccer is the most recent addition
to St. Andrew's team sports. We presently have a combined Junior/Senior
soccer team that competes with other schools in our zone.
Intermediate students are invited
to participate in a two-month training program that prepares them
for the annual 10 kilometer Sun Run. Training begins in February
and runs through April.
There is a year-round choir that rehearses
every Tuesday after school. The choir holds several performances
throughout the year.
There is an annual primary Christmas
Concert. All primary students are involved in the singing and acting
parts of the play.
Every second year, a major drama production
is held at St. Andrew's. Students in the intermediate grades audition
for major character roles. All intermediate grades are involved
in the chorus, stage production and scenery creation.
